So, I was at this party on Saturday. There was a new girl there with her husband (?). Okay, strike 1 against her for being new. All of us gals went upstairs so the four of us in the band (did I mention I am in a band?) could play around a bit. We actually have a guy in the band, but since he was out of town we were not really practicing. At any rate, the new girl came with us. Yuck. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing wrong with her. However, I am a little shy! Of course, the other gals made me comfortable. Oh yeah, so did the beer. We were all getting along nicely somehow.
At one point we all head back downstairs to refill our cups and I find new-girl talking to her man. He was asking if we let her play guitar and sing. Apparently new-girl has quite a voice and guitar skills. She never said a word! I'm not sure this was deceit, but in my suspicious mind it was! This was strike 2 against new-girl. So, I of course dropped in the conversation because by now I was feeling feisty and not so shy. I said my sarcastic comment and went on to find the girls. The house is quite large, but it is open and eventually the rooms open into each other. New-girl and man were in the other room again talking about her skills when I happened upon the other gals. Of course, I nosed into their conversation again. Remember that I am shy and have lacking social skills. Or else I was drinking too much. Everyone laughed about it though. This was a good point for new-girl in my book.
Everyone in the party came upstairs and we all rocked out for a little bit. New-girl never played guitar or sang a single note. Sissy. I hope she doesn't come back. That would be strike 3 for her.
I know, I know... I am not the nicest person ever. I don't like change. I guess at some point everyone is the new person. That doesn't mean I have to like her though. I think she made it even worse by not doing something to make me not like her.
